Since the liberalization of electricity markets in the 2000s, suppliers have been able to develop all sorts of offers. There are currently more than one fifty suppliers that offer contracts that differ according to the needs of consumers.
For businesses, the classic contract generally extends over one or two years with a fixed price over this entire period. Regulated rates have also favoured this type of contract over the years. However, there are many customers who opt for contracts with dynamic pricing. These are contracts for which the price is indexed to market prices.
As such, the European Union requires all suppliers with more than 200,000 customers to offer dynamically priced offers.
As we will see, these contracts make it possible to take advantage of market opportunities but also require better risk management. We will therefore try to describe to you how this dynamic pricing works. We will also introduce you to types of custom contracts that allow you to take advantage of market opportunities.
At a time when market prices are exploding, we must keep in mind that a dynamic management can also expose a business to price spikes in the markets.
When a customer signs a contract with a supplier, the supplier offers a price for his contract in advance. That is to say, depending on the size, consumption and needs of the customer, The price will be modulated according to these parameters.
Pricing concerns all types of contracts and customers, whether it is a private customer, whose price will be drawn from a standard price list, or a tailor-made contract for a major consumer customer.
In the case of a fixed price, the supplier will therefore then be responsible for buying the corresponding volumes on electricity markets, to cover the customer's consumption. To do this, he will establish a consumption forecast of the customer, and thus buy forecast volumes over the entire duration of the contract.
There is always a risk of a discrepancy between the customer's actual consumption and the volumes purchased by the supplier. It is a risk managed by the supplier.
To carry out hedging transactions, the supplier generally goes to the Electricity exchange. The latter is broken down into several markets according to time (real time, short term, long term). As such, we can cite EPEX Spot (European Power Exchange) in Western Europe (France, Germany, Austria...) in Western Europe (France, Germany, Austria...).
It is one of the organized electricity exchanges, on which you can find standardized products as well as a compensation chamber. Its operation is similar to other stock exchanges. The price per MWh is capped at €3,000 on the spot market.
A supplier can also obtain supplies on so-called markets OTC (Over The Counter), that is to say directly from Brokers and no longer through the stock exchange. He therefore buys the volumes concerning him directly from a seller present on the market.
The supplier will therefore apply the formulas and procedures selected by the customer. The more risk-averse the supplier is, the more likely it will be to offer its customers offers that are indexed to the market price by Real time.
In the event of a price increase, the supplier is thus sure of being able to pass this increase on the customer's bill. In the event of a price drop, the consumer benefits from these cheaper rates, but in both cases it remains completely transparent for the supplier.
Conversely, having a contract that is strongly indexed to market prices makes it possible to take advantage of declining market opportunities and to save money. It is clear that today, in these times of global rise in electricity prices, many customers regret not having taken out fixed-price contracts.
It is therefore a risk strategy to put in place, which balances risk and savings generated on energy bills.
Precisely for this reason, some companies that rely heavily on the price of raw materials have established their own. trading floors.
As we explained, an offer with dynamic pricing Is a contract whose price is indexed for all or part of the electricity markets. The consumer therefore does not know in advance his electricity purchase price. Each month, the supplier will thus be able to make his customer pay on the basis of wholesale electricity markets. To do this, it is mandatory to have a Communicating counter (like Linky).
This type of contract is quite common for professional consumers. However, it has also begun to emerge for individuals. Indeed, the electricity supplier Barry and Leclerc had launched similar offers aimed at individuals. These offers had to be stopped because of excessive price variations on the markets.
The customer's bill is therefore always composed of three parts: energy, transport rates and finally taxes. The energy portion will therefore be calculated at each due date and may vary greatly from one month to the next.
It is possible to have a dynamic offer for only part of its consumption. Indeed, many suppliers offer hybrid offers.
This means that it is possible to buy a significant portion of consumption in advance (this is energy blocks) in order to secure the price, but also to leave the remaining quantities of energy in dynamic pricing. It is a hybrid way of securing your electricity price while taking advantage, to a certain extent, of negative market fluctuations.
It is also necessary to differentiate between offers that reflect the exact prices for each half hour of a day and offers that average over the period. Indeed, these contracts can lead to very different invoices depending on the period and the customer's consumption.
The provider has several choices:
This is still dynamic pricing, but the consequences on invoices can be very different from one another.
There is also the possibility for the consumer to make the decision to buy energy at appropriate times (for example 3 or 4 times a year). It will thus ask the supplier to take a position on the market. At the end of the year, its total price is therefore an average of these one-off purchases.

We see on this graph that there are appropriate times to buy volumes of electricity in order to take advantage of a drop in prices.
As is often the case in the world of market finance, it is essential to establish a risk strategy clear and precise. Indeed, when your costs depend on the value of a stock market index, it is certain that a real risk strategy must be put in place.
Industrial companies are the most concerned, and it is not uncommon to find dynamic contracts where the risk borne by the customer is significant. There are certain clauses that reduce the cost of the margin offered by the supplier in exchange for more risks.
If electricity represents a significant part of the customer's costs, the customer will generally set up a risk team that will manage the energy supply strategy.
You must be able to modulate your consumption according to prices to really take advantage of this kind of offers.
Energy markets can react violently to certain cyclical events.
As you know, in 2021-2022 energy prices have exploded for a number of reasons. At first, we can therefore think that dynamically priced offers are therefore dangerous. However, this is not entirely true: an energy strategy is developed and implemented on the Long time.
The current rise in prices therefore does not necessarily mean that only the fixed price is interesting. On the other hand, this situation reinforces the idea that monitoring, control and monitoring of one's strategy is needed. Being supported by a professional in the sector is essential in this context.
In conclusion, it is interesting to see these new electricity supply offers develop. This tends to show that suppliers are making design efforts, and that new consumption patterns will be reflected in the offers offered.
However, economic news reminds us of the extreme volatility in energy markets. It is therefore essential to have, or use, the skills necessary to implement an adequate risk strategy.

.png)
Sourcing offers better visibility on the market and promotes the selection of competitive contracts. It helps to reduce the risks associated with price volatility and to optimize the energy budget.
.png)
.png)
Les profits include a direct reduction in bills, strengthened budgetary forecasting and better control of consumption. Businesses gain visibility and efficiency thanks to adapted tools.
.png)
The subscribed power must be calculated according to the consumption profile and uses (heating, industrial processes, tertiary equipment). One fine analysis makes it possible to ensure the adequacy between real need and contract.
.png)
Non.
.png)
The industry is concerned by TICFE, TICGN and other contributions that may represent an important part of invoices. Sirenergies identifies cases of exemption and accompanies the procedures to benefit from them.
.png)
.png)
In 2025, the supplier had a NPS (Net Promoter Score) of +16 and a note of 4,17/5.
Satisfaction is based on a “zero solicitation” model and 100% in-house customer service in Toulon, guaranteeing proximity and responsiveness that cannot be found with major historical suppliers.
.png)
Exceeding capacity leads to financial penalties and can impact the size of the contract. Adjust the correctly subscribed power makes it possible to avoid these additional costs.
.png)
.png)
Changing suppliers can allow you to benefit from more competitive prices, adapted services or better contractual conditions. Thanks to sourcing, change is happening without interruption of supply.

Farms are subject to taxes such as TICFE or TICGN. Sirenergies verifies their application, identifies cases of exemption and accompanies the procedures to reduce the tax burden.
.png)

The central objective of PPE 3 is to engage France towards carbon neutrality by 2050 by breaking the country's historical dependence on fossil fuels.
Today, approximately 60% of final energy consumption in France still relies on imported oil and natural gas. PPE 3 aims to radically reverse this trend by setting an ambitious target: to reach 60% of carbon-free energies in final consumption by 2030.
To achieve this, PPE 3 pursues three major sub-objectives:

The range E @sy is available in four pricing structures to adapt to each risk profile:
.png)
Tertiary companies must manage their energy costs while guaranteeing the comfort of users (offices, shops, services). Consumption is often linked to heating, air conditioning and lighting, which requires precise monitoring to avoid budgetary excesses.
.png)
.png)
Communities are subject to taxes such as TICFE or TICGN. Sirenergies analyzes invoices, identifies exemption possibilities and fixes possible errors to reduce the tax burden.
.png)
.png)
All businesses, from SMEs to large organizations, can benefit from this service. Les local authorities also find it a lever to better control their budgets.
.png)
.png)
Farms must deal with high seasonal needs (greenhouse heating, irrigation, storage) and high volatility of prizes. Controlling these costs is essential to maintain profitability and secure the business.
.png)
Among the taxes include TICFE, TICGN, CTA, CJA and TURPE. They represent a significant part of the bill and vary according to consumption profiles. Understanding them well is essential to optimize costs.
.png)
.png)
Sourcing consists in identifying and analysing the offers of several electricity and gas suppliers. This approach makes it possible to obtain contracts adapted to the consumption profile and budgetary constraints of the company.
.png)
.png)
Tertiary companies are concerned by taxes such as TICFE or TICGN. Sirenergies checks the accuracy of invoices, identifies possible exemptions, and helps correct errors to sustainably reduce costs.
.png)
The €/MWh is a price unit used in wholesale markets, while kWh is the unit visible on your bills.

These are signals sent by RTE during periods of tension on the electrical network. The Sirenergies tool informs you in real time to anticipate your uses.
.png)
.png)
Yes. The supplier guarantees an offer 100% renewable via the official Guarantees of Origin (GO) mechanism.
For the most demanding companies, the offer GREENVOLT+ ensures very low carbon intensity electricity, sourced exclusively from independent French producers (hydraulic, wind, solar).
.png)
.png)
One invoice consists of several elements: consumption, supplier share, taxes and contributions. The analysis of each line makes it possible to identify possible errors and to check the consistency with the signed contract.
.png)
.png)
This makes it possible to choose the right time to contract, secure your budgets and anticipate increases.

La Multiannual Energy Programming (PPE) is the strategic management tool for France's energy policy. Established by the 2015 law on energy transition for green growth (LTECV), it serves as a compass for the State, communities and businesses.
Concretely, the PPE sets the priorities for action of the public authorities for the management of all forms of energy on the national territory. It covers a period of ten years, divided into two periods of five years, and must be revised periodically to adapt to technological and economic developments.
It deals with major topics such as:
It is crucial not to confuse it with National Low Carbon Strategy (SNBC). While SNBC sets carbon budgets (the ceilings for greenhouse gas emissions by sector), the PPE determines the technical and energy resources to achieve them.
.png)
Industrial companies consume large volumes of energy for their production processes. They have to deal with the volatility of prizes, multi-site management and specific taxes. Controlling costs is essential to remain competitive.
.png)
.png)
Some businesses may obtain a partial or total exemption from the TICFE or the TICGN, depending on their activity and energy intensity. The support of an expert makes it possible to identify the eligibility criteria and to put together the file.
.png)
