TotalEnergies stands out as the first alternative supplier on the French energy market, thanks to the quality of its services and its reliability. It is both a producer and a supplier of electricity, gas, petroleum, biofuels and renewable energies.
The Total group was founded in 1924 and was one of the pioneers in the marketing of petroleum and gas. Throughout its history, it has absorbed companies such as Petrofina (in 1999), Elf Aquitaine (in 2000) and more recently Maersk Oil (in 2017) as well as Direct Energie (in 2018).
This last operation allowed the giant to gradually establish itself on the electricity and gas market, and to become a serious competitor to EDF and Engie. Its objective is to obtain 15% of the market by 2022.
During 2020, the company changed its name (from Total to TotalEnergies). This change was made in response to the energy transition and to highlight the diversification of its activities. TotalEnergies no longer wants to be associated only with petroleum.
In addition to its name, TotalEnergies wants to provide a new visual identity, by intrinsically changing its logo. Now multicolored, and creating a link between the past, present and future of TotalEnergies.
In order to make its contribution to sustainable development, TotalEnergies committed itself in May 2020 to reach carbon neutrality by 2050 and a Compensation of all CO2 emissions remaining by investing massively in natural carbon sinks.
By 2030, TotalEnergies intends to produce 100 gigawatts of renewable electricity worldwide (compared to 7 gigawatts today) through projects offshore wind turbines And of solar fields.
Thus, the green electricity produced will supply, 150,000 charging stations at individuals, in businesses and at service stations. TotalEnergies inaugurated its first station entirely dedicated to electric charging in Paris La Défense in May 2021.
Finally, TotalEnergies plans to store electricity, by launching the largest battery electricity storage project in France, located in the port area of Dunkerque.
It is therefore not for nothing that the line of conduct adopted by the group is”more energy, fewer emissions“.
TotalEnergies offers offers for professionals, regardless of the sector of activity, the segment (all types of meters) and the company.
