One of the main producers and suppliers of European electricity, Vattenfall is a major player in the energy landscape. Its main ambition? Make it possible to live without fossil fuels within a generation.
SirEnergies explains everything to you in less than 3 minutes.
Vattenfall is a Swedish company, which produces and distributes electricity.
Created in 1909, following the restructuring of the canal and the hydroelectric power station in Trollhättan (in Sweden), Vattenfall is now 100% owned by the Swedish State.
The company has more than 20,000 employees and is present in 7 countries (Sweden, Germany, Germany, Denmark, Netherlands, United Kingdom, Finland and France).
For the record, Vattenfall means “waterfall” in Swedish.
Vattenfall has been present in France for more than 20 years, its head office is located in Didenheim, near Mulhouse.
Initially, Vattenfall only offered electricity offers in order to supply industrial professionals and major accounts, today the company offers offers of gas and electricity supply for professionals of all sizes and recently for French individuals.
Vattenfall is positioned as an alternative energy supplier (gas and electricity) by offering offers to all types of professional customer profiles (from small businesses to major account customers).
More than 130 TWh of electricity have been supplied to customers since 2000, when Vattenfall was founded in France.
Vattenfall has opened up to the market of French individuals in the supply of gas and electricity since 2018.
The company was therefore positioned as a major competitor in the face of market giants: EDF and Engie to name but a few.
Two offers are offered by Vattenfall for professionals (small businesses, SMEs, SMEs, manufacturers and major accounts):
Two gas offers are offered by Vattenfall for professionals:
Also, like many other alternative suppliers, Vattenfall offers a “dual” offer combining Electricity and Gas in order to opt for a single energy supplier.
