A historic player and number 1 on the butane and propane gas market in France, Antargaz has been, since the end of 2019, a single interlocutor for all energies: natural gas and electricity for professionals.
SirEnergies explains everything to you in less than 3 minutes.
Antargaz was created in 1951 by SOGAL (Société des Gaz Liquides de Pétrole). At the beginning, Antargaz distributed propane gas in gas tanks as well as gas bottles. In 1991, the firm stood out thanks to the introduction on the markets of the first Duralinox bottles and the first underground propane tank.
In 2004, Antargaz became a subsidiary of the American group UGI Corporation, which is present in the LPG market internationally.
In 2015, Antargaz bought TotalGaz, Total's gas subsidiary, and renamed it Finagaz. The two companies merged into one to create Antargaz Finagaz SAS in 2018. Antargaz Finagaz becomes one year later Antargaz Energies.
In October 2019, the company expanded its business by becoming electricity supplier for professionals, also taking advantage of the expertise of its parent company UGI, which manages photovoltaic and wind farms in Europe.
Today, Antargaz distributes LPG (butane and propane), natural gas and electricity for professionals.
LPG represents an interesting and advantageous fuel alternative. It can work with gasoline or with LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas). LPG consists of 50% butane and 50% propane.
Compared to a gas-powered car, an LPG car emits 18% less Nox. On the other hand, it will consume around 20% more than a gas-powered vehicle. Since the price at the pump is half as high as gasoline, consumers therefore find their way around.
In France, around 200,000 vehicles run on LPG fuel (95% of individuals and 5% of businesses). A network of more than 1650 LPG service stations covers French territory.
Antargaz supports all types of customers (SMEs, SMEs, local authorities, condominiums, large companies) in the supply of natural gas with offers adapted to their specific needs.
Note that the company has developed tailor-made support for multi-site customers benefiting from shared purchases and real-time monitoring tools.
Antargaz has developed a SereniPro offer for the distribution of Propane gas via an aerial or underground tank with a capacity of 1000, 1750 or 3200 kg for professionals.
Note that the gas price is guaranteed for up to 2 years.
For the time being, only professional customers connected to low voltage (< 250 kVA) can benefit from Antargaz's electricity offers. Here are the two offers for the “Blue Rate” and “Yellow Rate” profiles:
