Tourism and leisure: campsites and holiday villages
In February, a closed campsite is still paying for the power capacity reserved for August 15th. From hook-up points and air-conditioned mobile homes to heated pool areas, washrooms, and restaurants, a campsite's energy usage is concentrated into just a few weeks. Sirenergies provides procurement advice and aligns your power capacity with your actual season.

Key industry figures
Overnight stays are concentrated over four months, when pool areas, rental units, and hot water for washrooms are all running at once. Power capacity and procurement plans based on the entire year mean you pay premium prices in summer, then pay for nothing all winter.

The energy profile of a campsite
The reality: a village that lights up for the summer
A campsite operates like a small seasonal town. Electricity powers pitch hook-ups, air-conditioned mobile homes, pathway lighting, laundry facilities, and vehicle charging. The pool area adds water heating, whether via natural gas or heat pumps. The move toward higher-end facilities accentuates this profile: in the peak of summer 2025, 4 and 5-star campsites accounted for 61.4% of overnight stays (FNHPA based on INSEE data, 2026). Off-season, consumption plummets, yet subscription fees and power capacity charges remain on the bill.
Our role: a contract adjusted for the season, not for habit
Your electricians and pool specialists remain in charge of the equipment; Sirenergies acts on three levers:

Your energy challenges
A heated pool that opens in April, pitches and rental units that become more electrified from one season to the next, and a series of meters with options no one remembers: a campsite's energy bill is rarely where you expect it to be. Here are the three areas Sirenergies prioritizes, each with a specific contractual lever.
A campsite consumes the bulk of its energy during July and August, making the calibration of subscribed power particularly sensitive between peak activity and the off-season.
Sirenergies adjusts your subscribed power to your actual peak activity and verifies your TURPE settings.
A heated pool is one of the most significant energy consumers for a campsite or holiday village, between water heating, continuous filtration, and automated treatment.
Sirenergies analyzes your contracts and load profiles to determine the true cost of your heated pool.
Standard electricity contracts are rarely designed for businesses concentrated over just a few months, which limits potential savings.
Sirenergies puts our trusted partner suppliers in competition to provide offers that account for your seasonal profile.
Contractual and data expertise
From heated aquatic areas to pitch power hookups, Sirenergies analyzes, adjusts, and monitors your campsite's electricity and gas contracts. The starting point: your opening dates, your rental inventory, and your equipment plans, ensuring your contract keeps pace with the season rather than being dictated by it.
Inventory of the campsite's delivery points including account holder, power, and expiration dates; monitoring of summer peak overages; and annual analysis of electricity excise duties (formerly TICFE), natural gas excise duties (formerly TICGN), and CEE energy savings certificates.
Tendering suppliers for electricity and gas for a single campsite or your entire network, with price fixing spread throughout the winter so you can approach the opening with known costs rather than in the middle of the season.
TURPE: power gradient adjustment for loads over 36 kVA, or consolidation of small meters where justified. ATRD: gas options for pools, restrooms, and kitchens reviewed based on actual consumption. Network administrative procedures included.
Energy budget projections for the season based on occupancy, opening duration, and various price scenarios. The same simulation calculates the value of rooftop or carport solar self-consumption, which naturally peaks during the summer.
All campsite delivery points on a single dashboard: previous day's consumption, verified drop-off after closing, electricity and gas price alerts, projected budget, and centralized contract documents.
A dedicated consultant who knows your opening dates and equipment plans, monitors markets and deadlines, keeps you informed of regulatory changes, and works with you to build an energy cost per occupied pitch, season after season.

Methodology and definitions
When should you lock in electricity and gas prices for a site that is closed six months of the year? For a campsite or holiday village, energy consulting first answers this question: it helps the operator choose between fixed and market-indexed pricing, stagger price locking throughout the winter, and adjust distribution costs for the high season. Sirenergies consultants provide guidance and then monitor every meter via the Pilott platform.
The context
France has 7,637 campsites, 77% of which are in rural areas (FNHPA and Asterès, 2026). Since the law of April 30, 2025, mandatory energy audits are based on the company's consumption, including fuel.
